Step 1 Warmup and leading in

Good Morning, Boys and girls. How are you today Great! Before we begin our class, Let’s sing a song together! It is “Jobs song”. Here are some lyrics for you on the PPT. Begins! Excellent! Now, I have a question for you. What kind of jobs you can find in this song Yes, doctor , good. Any other word Farmer, Teacher. Well done!

Step 2 Presentation

Now there are some pictures on the book, can you guess what they are talking about Oh, I heard some students say they are talking about jobs. Is it right Let’s check it. I will play the tape for you. If they are talking about jobs, please think about What kind of jobs they mentioned. Ready Let’s start!

So they are talking about jobs. You are right. So What kind of jobs they mentioned Now let’s listen to the recording again and find the answer to the question. So who want to share answers with us Yes, Linda, you are so active. Pilot, doctor. Great!Sit down, pls. Jack, you pls. Well done, you heard teacher. Sit down, pls. Now, I will divide you into groups. Four students as one group. Read the dialogue on the book and discuss detailed information in the group. The questions are as follows:

Step 3 Practice

Now let us listen the tape again and imitate it. Please pay attention to words’ pronunciation and sentence intonation. Ok. Stop here. Step 4 Production / Consolidation

OK, boys and girls, now let do a survey and work in group.

I will divide you into groups, six students in a group. Ask your group members about what they want to be in the future by using the sentence patterns we have learned today and make a chart. I will give you 10 minutes. Ready Go! OK, time is up! Now, I want to invite some students to show their achievements in the game of hot potato. We have learned how to ask others about what they want to be and answer it by using the general future tense as well as some words about jobs. Meanwhile, we have talked about career ideals. Everyone need establish career ideals and fight for it, then to be a useful person to the society.

Here comes your homework. After school, you talk with your parents and ask what they want to be when they were young and show it in the next class. Clear Good! See you next time!
